  1. A terrific idea. I can’t get a real copy to you but I’m with you in spirit, and perhaps you’ll be able to print this pdf copy of 1984 in huge, large type, the better to illustrate your point on placards for the media cameras.

  2. What a great idea! While I doubt it will alter the idiots who flushed our democracy down the drain, perhaps they will know that there are citizens who took note of their spineless deed. In the meantime, it is good for my soul to send them a copy of the world they voted for the rest of us to suffer in.

I could not write a comment on the book order I placed, so if you can possibly take note, when a 4 book order arrives from Alibris around October 28th, please send one to the policians I am stuck with in CT, Nancy Johnson (in the pharmaceuticals pocket) and Joe Liar-man (married to a pharmaceutical lobbyist). The other two can go to any other political hack of your choice. Thank you!

  4. Thank you! There is a touch of genius in your proposal. Two copies are en route even as I type this. I have passed the idea on to quite a few. Now that it is probably too late, perhaps some of them (the Inner Party)will wake up. That high pitched faint whine you hear in the dead of night is George Orwell spinning in his grave at several thousand RPM and climbing.

In the words of the immortal Winston Smith, “Down with Big Brother! Down with Big Brother! DOWN WITH BIG BROTHER!

  5. Bush is forever saying that democracies do not invade other countries and start wars. Well, he did just that. He invaded Iraq, started a war, and killed people. What do you think? What is he doing to us, and what is he doing to the world?
Our country is in debt until forever, we don’t have jobs, and we live in fear. We have invaded a country and been responsible for thousands of deaths.
The more people that the government puts in jails, the safer we are told to think we are. The real terrorists are wherever they are, but they aren’t living in a country with bars on the windows. We are.
