Ministry of Love

Welcome to our Orwellian Protest of the Military Commissions Act.

Miniluv Achieves 18% of Collection Goal.

Our brave comrades have thwarted the underground resistance to send the Ministry of Love a total of 57 copies of 1984. This is a glorious victory for Miniluv!

While we are still gathering books to reach our final goal of 315, we have become aware that many of the Inner Party Members who voted for torture did not survive the Great November Purge, and are soon to be vaporized. Therefore, we will be sending copies to these unpersons sooner than expected.

We are currently consulting with the Ministry of Truth to prepare a “total information awareness” campaign to promote this mailing. Any help that our comrades can provide is greatly appreciated.

  1. Would the great leaders of this project consider sending these unpersons Cliff Notes or Spark Notes? It would be cheaper, and I hear members of the Inner Circle often don’t have time to read the bills they sign in their entirety — perhaps if there had been Cliff Notes of the Military Commissions Act, fewer unpersons would have been vaporized after approving it. If only the masses had been set to work Spark Noting the history of colonialism for our fearless leader in 2000, perhaps we would not be engaged in brutal military occupations of multiple third-world countries right now.

Kudos, O’Brien. Kudos and black market strawberry jam.

  2. We have indeed received several copies of “Max Notes.” They will be sent to recently vaporized Members such as Katherine Harris.
    Thanks for your advice.

  3. Is the ministry of Love still sending copies to Congressmen who didn’t win re-election?

  4. All Inner Party Members who voted for the Military Commissions Act will receive a copy of 1984. Those who have been vaporized will receive their copies sooner.

  6. that is a creative protest allright. Impressive… I wonder if they’ll acutually read the books, or just throw them in the bin directly. Probably the latter, idiots don’t like to be confronted with their idiocy.
